Scan of John Whitney's Digital Harmony
John Whitney, Sr. was an early pioneer of computer animation. His book Digital Harmony contains his theories on visual harmony in computer graphics, high-resolution stills from his works, and code examples that demonstrate his techniques. Unfortunately, the book is now out of print and used copies are expensive.
In order to make this book widely available, I scanned a copy and ran the resulting PDF through optical character recognition software, using the open-source tools described in this guide. The book is now available for download on the Internet Archive.
